About Tres Cantos
Tres Cantos is a municipality in the Community of Madrid, located 22 kilometers north of the capital. It was part of Colmenar Viejo, until its segregation in 1991. Currently about 50,000 inhabitants live in Tres Cantos, almost the same as in Colmenar Viejo. Many companies have their headquarters in Tres Cantos (more than €2,000) and a good part of their employees (almost 40,000) come to the municipality to work every day.
Tres Cantos is an example of a planned city, with a multitude of green areas and urban parks. It is a modern city, with a high quality of life and with a demographic that is very accentuated in the youth of its inhabitants. It is worth highlighting its orderly urban planning without the old town, as is the case with its neighbor and all those municipalities that were originally a town. The sectors of the old Tres Cantos remain to be remembered, large blocks of exclusively pedestrian traffic where buildings were built sharing parks and other municipal facilities
